The Mannucci Droandi farm has its origins in the agricultural and winemaking tradition of all the branches of the Droandi family.
The Mannuccis had been landowners in the Valdarno since at least the beginning of the 19th century
As for the Droandi, we are certain that they were cultivators and then farmers in Carmignano from the 18th century, as evidenced by the presence of the illustrious Lorenzo Droandi (representative of this elite of modern and competent farmers inspired by the teachings of Cosimo Ridolfi and Bettino Ricasoli) who, in the second half of the 19th century, he was the “minister” (administrator) of the Fattoria del Borro in Valdarno, to which he gave the organization that has practically survived to the present day.
