Mannucci Droandi

(MONTEVARCHI – AREZZO) Mannucci Droandi (today owned by the Società Agricola Nuova Agricoltura) is a brand that has become famous for connoisseurs of fine Tuscan wine quite recently, but the families who created it at the time have been able to boast a long involvement in the wine of the region, both in Carmignano and in the Val d’Arno di  Sopra  where,  among others, in the  19th century,  Lorenzo Droandi, administrator  of the property, gave the company il Borro,  today owned by Ferragamo, its current layout.

Today’s estates essentially consist of two separate blocks: the first is the Campolucci farm, purchased in 1929, located on the western slopes of the Chianti hills around 250 meters above sea level. More recently, another block has been added, Ceppeto, this time a property within the confines of the Chianti Classico denomination, located over 300 meters above sea level, below the castle of Starda.
